What Can I Do For You?
To be truly effective, we need to be driven by a clear sense of purpose.
My purpose is to end the abuse caused by high control groups, cults and other forms of coercive control. This includes educating practitioners, service providers, policymakers, governments, and those affected by such groups.
As a former cult member I take an empathy based approach to the subject and seek to help participants understand what the lived reality is for victims of High-control Groups and Coercive control. I breakdown how damaging this is to society in general on a personal, emotional and economic level and most importantly how escape and taking back their lives is possible for victims.
The topics below have been designed to be interactive allowing participants to fully unpack topics discussed. Practitioners and service providers find this approach preferable as it allows for learnings to be related to the work environment.
The workshops have three primary audiences:
Practitioners & service providers – Frontline workers including social works, health & medical professionals, aged & disability care, service staff
Policy makers – Government, NGO and private industry
Interest groups – Service clubs, private employers and members/groups of the general public seeking to gain a better understanding of the size and nature of the problem posed by high-control groups and cults to the individuals affected and the general public.

Single topic workshops can be delivered from 1.5-4 hours depending on the level of depth, cohort size and pre-existing knowledge. Multi-topic workshops can range from four hours through to two days. Up to three topics can be included in a full-day workshop.

A serious subject interspersed with humorous anecdotes and irony, designed to help audiences engage the use of critical thinking in analysing the tactics of coercive control.

This keynote focuses on the parallels between business and personal transformation based on my experience as a startup founder and mentor and a former born-in cult member.

Keynote presentations range in time from 25-60 minutes depending on purpose and time available.
Topics covered are based on my personal experience building an identity, life and purpose as a gay man after spending the first 30 years of my life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as my career in government and business transformation.
